Finally, a lull. It's been several days of activity here preparing for Christmas, gathering at my uncle's home on Christmas Eve until the wee hours, the chaotic excitement of Santa gifts, hosting Christmas dinner here, an abundance of sweet goodies, and a very full house. It's been great fun but I am thankful for the quiet that has been dominating the house today. Papi Chulo went out with my siblings for a movie, Miss E is taking a long nap, as is Grandpa, Grandma is putting her house back together, and Funky B is re-enacting everything from doctor's visits to Santa's routine. I pulled out a new knitting project and have let myself move slowly through the day.
I hope that everyone has had a fabulous holiday. I have several wonderful handmade gifts to share later this week, some made by me, some made by other crafty women in my life. Stop by when you can to check them out along with bits of snow and snippets of the last few days of 2009.
Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas!
