I went out yesterday morning and snapped a bunch of photos of the garden. I looked at them and thought, "It's like watching your hair grow." There are no big dramatic changes to the garden this week but gradually the last structural pieces are coming together and bit by bit those little plants get bigger and fuller and more promising.
This week we have a plum tree that is beginning it's training:
Sugar snap peas that have finally, just barely, reached the frames:
Blue ribbons flickering at the top of the tomato cages:
And crops have been identified by markers:
The cucumber plant is looking strong:
And the herb garden on the wall has some new plants: marjoram, mint, petunias, and marigolds:
This week's garden goals include finishing the drip line assembly and moving some rose bushes to make room for the gingko sapling. (I think that I just gave Papi Chulo his Honey-Do list for the week. For my part I'll stay on top of the weeding and watering.)
